Unless your taking .025 max and extreamly slow cuts in stainless your HAAS wont cut it and it will beat the shit out of the machine. A 3" face mill I used sandvick just dont cut it on a haas and Stainless. ( I had 6 inserts on my cutters) things that did help insert life was going in at a rad.(read the sandcik page on facemills it applies to all)

Some good info, but the T and W are not that same. The T designates that the insert has a dished face and a more tangential/honed cutting edge which would be good for aluminum. The W insert has a flat face and a stronger cutting edge for ferrous materials. Also, the SEHT SEET SEHW inserts are not likely to be proprietary.
